She taught classroom music in
both public
and parochial schools for several years where she organized and
directed choruses, taught music theory, music history, music
appreciation, and produced many school musicals. For twenty years, she
has maintained a private studio in her home for piano, voice and harp
students. She is also a Registered Nurse in NY State,
former medical transcriptionist, and teaches medical classes part-time
at an area junior college.
She is a very traditional, very
thorough educator who emphasizes musical literacy and holds high
musical standards for all of her students. Music theory, solfege and
good body alignment are hallmarks of her teaching style.
